Clem Smith Jr. Frameset - Low Tube Version


Clem Smith Jr. is Rivendell’s fat-tire, easy to fender & rack, joyously upright and stable, and more affordable than the rest of our lineup bicycle frame. For daily transportion, touring, commuting, shopping, and with bigger tires, trails. It's in our "Hillibike" category, and is dreamy on trails.



FRAME SIZES/WHEEL SIZES:

  • 45cm / now w/650B/27.5-inch wheels. Typical rider height: 5-0 to 5-5
  • 52cm / 650B/27.5-inch wheels. Typical rider height: 5-5 to 5-11
  • 59cm / 700c /29-inch wheels. Typical rider height: 5-9 to 6-3
  • 64cm / 700c /29-inch wheels. Typical rider height: 6-1 to 6-11

We usually recommend buying the bigger of two sizes you fit. Or the biggest of three. The point is, but UP, because the bigger bike will have a longer wheelbase for a smoother ride, and since CLEM L has no top tube, there's no crotch-clearance issues.

Seatpost Dimensions — 26.8mm for 45cm and 52cm and 29.8mm for 59cm and 64cm


Shipping Bikes and Frames

  • Frames Shipping: $87 +/- to lower 48 states.
  • Bike Shipping: $175 +/- to lower 48
  • International is more complicated - call or email

We'll adjust the final shipping charge when the frame/bike actually ships.

You can always arrange to pick up your bike here in Walnut Creek, California. California pickups and deliveries pay California sales tax. 

  • If you will be using Cantis, be sure to purchase cable hangers (not included)
